EMDR

EMDR is a therapy used to help people heal from the emotional distress and symptoms that can result from disturbing life experiences. EMDR is believed to work by helping the brain process traumatic memories and integrate them into a person's overall life experiences. The bilateral stimulation (like eye movements) used in EMDR mimics the natural processing that occurs during REM (Rapid Eye Movement) sleep, which is thought to help the brain work through emotional issues.
